Pocket Page Notebook :: We Are Magic

Clearly, it is no wonder I love taking selfies. It must run in my family! These two are always up for a selfie which makes a nice change from people running away as soon as the camera comes out!

I used another older Studio Calico documenter kit this time, I'm loving finding ways to use up these journal cards. This one was perfect for my title for this page.

December (not quite) Daily :: Pups & Cups

I treated myself to a few more printable journal cards for this year. The thing I love about the printable versions, is that I only need to print the ones I want, I don't end up with a huge stash and I don't pay ANY shipping fees!

A few of my favourite places for December Daily printables are Ali Edwards, In a Creative Bubble, my own December Dreams collection, Allison Pennington and Push Print Studio.

Project Life :: Week 45

I think this week is a perfect example of how some photos, a bit of journalling, some stickers and some stamping can create a simple and effective way of documenting your week.

I'm still trying to keep things easy as I try to keep up with both Project Life and December Daily and the December kits and stamps from Citrus Twist Kits are making things really simple.

December (not quite) Daily :: Magic & Candles

Such a simple page really. I tried to force it to be more fancy with some enamel dots, but in the end I choose the simple route.

Until I decided to add a bit of sparkle in the form of a full sequin page! Magic is right!

Pocket Page Notebook :: Just what I needed

I went through a bit of a rough patch a few weeks back and my darling sister sent me the most beautiful box of macarons to cheer me up (worked a treat too!) so, of course, I had to create a page about them!

Using the actual pocket page, I added some ephemera (box lid and collection card which happily was the exact right size) and the "fussy fused" some die cut leaves at the top. My fusing isn't the neatest but I love the way the leaves are captured and can't move around. One I perfect my technique, you can be sure I'll be doing this again!

December (not quite) Daily :: Coffee and Cards

One of my favourite Christmas traditions is getting myself some delicious flavoured coffee, and this year was no exception. The packaging was SO good, I had to include it as well so I ended up with a three page spread!

I used printable cards from my December Dreams collection and Push Print Studio as well as that gorgeous teal dot foil paper from American Crafts!

I also made a little card holder for my album. We don't normally receive too many cards, so I like to have them somewhere in my album. And I would usually just slip them in a page protector, but this year I wanted something a little more special and when I saw those little lightbulb button, I knew exactly what that would be!

Project Life :: Week 44

The struggle I find with December kits is that they are always Christmas themed. Which makes it hard to use them for any other time than December/Christmas. But the latest kit from Citrus Twist Kits is NOT Christmas themed which makes them perfect for all these boring weeks until we actually get to December!

December (not quite) Daily :: The Tree and Weather

IT'S DECEMBER! Finally! And I've made a start on my album. I've decided not to go the daily route because I know I'm going to be away for a few days in December and I don't need the extra pressure. So I'm just going to do a page when the mood strikes me. Which so far, is ALL the time!

I've started with the tree, which includes some terrible stamping. But I was not going to start again!

And then the heat wave we've been having. Which is a nice change from the usual rain but I am totally melting!

On the back I added the MAKING MERRY printable from Brandi Kincaid to fill up the space and record a few little random memories.

Traveler's Notebook :: Oh Yeah

Given how many PL cards I have in my stash, I'm always looking for ways to use them up! So when Studio Calico sent me their Homestead Documenter kit, instead of another pocket page, I thought I'd see just how many PL cards I could use on a TN spread. Turns out, quite a lot!

They also sent me a discount code to start a new subscription, so head over to my channel and get the details!

Pocket Page Notebook Youtube Hop :: Bloom

Essie and Caylee and myself are doing another Pocket Page Notebook Youtube hop today and we are joined by the lovely Johanna!

We each took this 12x12 sketch and translated it into a page in our PPN's. You can see mine above.

Project Life :: Week 43

When I put together this kit, I couldn't possibly have know just how well it would go with this week's photos. There is SO much pink and teal and I love it SO much, I can't even feel bad about it.

Over the top embellishment and sequins and puffy stickers, oh my! I even managed to use that October card from 2016! Obviously, I've been hoarding it for this very purpose. Which does make me think twice about how much I purge, only for two seconds though!

December (not quite) Daily :: Plans and supplies

I'm finally getting excited to start documenting December. And all it took was putting the first tree up! Yes, first. There will be more than one.

I didn't buy anything (well, much) new this year, I'm shopping my own, very extensive, stash instead. I did need to grab a new album and I got a smaller kit and some washi from Citrus Twist but everything else is old.

I'm not sure whether I'm going to attempt to do it daily this year, so whether I'll stick to my tried and true formula. But I do know, I'm not going to stress about it and I am excited to get started!

So here is my plan and the supplies I've pulled for this year's album...

Traveler's Notebook :: Next Meal

We definitely like food around here, we are always looking for the next place to visit and we are ALWAYS rating our meals. So the RATE THIS set from Kellie Stamps was perfect to start documenting some of the meals we've been having lately and keeping a record of what was yum and not so yum!

You could totally replicate this spread with some of the other rating stamps too. I'm thinking mood, drink, movie, show and pizza are all going to be high on my list!

Kellie Stamps :: Summer

Summer is almost here, almost, so the latest release from Kellie Stamps was perfect for a little pocket page celebrating at little heat-wave we've been having.

I stamped directly onto a few of the photos and then created some repeat stamping patterns as well. I added a full sequin pocket (using a lovely mix from The Stamp Spot), of course!

Now bring on Summer, I say!

Project Life :: Week 42

There was nothing jumping out at me in this weeks photo's, so I went with one of my DIY kits in black, white and gold to add a bit of consistency and shine.

I'm not really a doily person but I do love that huge gold doily and after a bit of faffing round, I managed to make it work as a title card.

Traveler's Notebook :: Netflix and Snooze?

The size of my stash is starting to get a bit out of hand! So I REALLY need to start finding ways of using up my older bits and pieces before diving straight into my newer kits.

For this page I only used an old 6x6 paper pad, some old metal dies, an older stamp set from Kellie Stamps and some alphas that I converted to black.

It hasn't made a huge dent, but I got to start somewhere, right?!
